Walz Wayback Saga: Have Debunkers Proved Anything After Wayback Machine Hacked?
And WHY is the White House contact page suddenly being indexed daily?
Look, we certainly must consider the possibility that the guy running the Black Insurrectionist X account is lying about the Tim Walz allegations. Some people are good at LARPing. During the Obama years, I remember a guy who used to write fascinating articles as a “DC Insider,” who sounded in writing like James Carville. Supposedly these conversations were giving all sorts of insider info on the Obama administration. They were really interesting to read, but they were, I’m 99% sure, total fiction. Especially since said writer later put out a website to sell fiction books.
That said, the “debunkers” who are trying to ding the Black Insurrectionist are pretty lame. “There’s an editing cursor on your read-only email!” Hello, brainiac, this could be some weird artifact from the screen-sharing software - sometimes my cursor also turns to a vertical bar even when I’m not editing depending on the web page in question. That alone is not enough to convince me that the screenshots were faked - furthermore, I’d expect a faker to be far more slick and careful.
One of the big supposed “gotchas” is a tweet allegedly saying that the contact form that Black Insurrectionist used to contact Kamala Harris is all wrong:
“Also, the 'Submit' button was changed from red to blue on September 13.”

But which contact page are we talking about here? Or is he making one up, seeing as there’s no actual URL in the Wayback Machine:
Here’s a screenshot of the VP contact page on the Wayback Machine clearly showing a blue submit button on August 7, 2024.
https://web.archive.org/web/20240807060034/https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/vicepresident/
This certainly seems to match the webpage from at least one tweet of Black Insurrectionist.
Except, the disputed page in question may not be from the White House website, but from the Kamala Harris campaign page. Here’s an archive from September 9, 2024, which shows a red button, not a blue button.
This does seem to be in conflict with Black Insurrectionist’s alleged recording of an email sent to the Harris campaign on August 23, 2024, which shows the more current website design and a blue button.
What does this mean? Did Black Insurrectionist lie? Is the whole story bunk?
Once again, I will say that if someone is faking but doing to damage Tim Walz, then I’d think they’d be a lot more careful.
If someone is faking with an intent to pre-inoculate people against a real October Surprise, then they would leave PURPOSEFUL mistakes to discredit everyone who tries to come forward.
Another option is that Black Insurrectionist did send the email and does have a real lead, but he lied about warning the Kamala Harris ahead of time.
There could also be some other contact form that he used, which I am unable to find, one that did have a blue button at the time of the email being sent.
Or, Archive.org could be wrong and be showing outdated images on its website either by accident or on purpose.
Archive.org is not infallible. Many websites will use what is called a caching system to send out old versions of web pages that get saved (or cached) on the side of the client (such as your web browser). This reduces server load.
Thus, the Archive.org indexing a cached website that is weeks old is possible, though not highly likely. But it is possible that for some reason the version we see “archived” on Archive.org is not the live version that Black Insurrectionist interacted with in August.
There’s another option - hacking.
Weirdly, the Internet Archive was hacked on October 9, 2024. Not even a week ago. It’s still only barely functioning.
On Archive.org, there is also a lot of activity surrounding the archiving of Harris-related contact pages. These are often the kinds of pages that will get skipped over (or purposefully omitted) by indexing robots, as these pages are not that important most of the time.
Very strangely, the White House VP contact form was, as of today, saved 154 times between May 31, 2024 and October 10, 2024.
Nothing before that. WHY?
The Harris campaign website of course will have more archival activity in recent months, because the site is new, but the archive does have some odd anomalies. Why, for example, was the Harris/Walz contact page indexed a total of 5 times on September 9, 2024, alone? That’s strange for a page that isn’t that important or is not supposed to change that much.
Given that the Archive.org Wayback Machine was recently hacked, and the servers are still running on an empty tank of gas, we cannot presume that the results showing up in the Wayback Machine are accurate.
Furthermore, it appears the main tactic to discredit the allegations by Black Insurrectionist are by blue checks who are nitpicking technical details. This in and of itself could be the pre-planned method of insulating the truth from coming out (if there is a truth).
BTW, an actor named Todd Almond has claimed on Substack he was the kid who was taken to the Indigo Girls concert with Walz; however, he is not claiming abuse. The alleged victim has claimed multiple kids were taken to different concerts by Walz.
Only a live person stepping in front of cameras will give this story any credibility. This is supposedly going to happen soon, but we’ll see.
