Note: We’ll be having our monthly “Sanity Room” call this Saturday around noon Eastern for paid subscribers. Please look for the announcement with the new link soon.

Proposition 65 is a case of the Boy Who Cried Wolf. It’s a California law that puts all those annoying warning signs on everything for such miniscule amounts of chemicals they might as well as be homeopathic.

I had an opportunity to write something about Prop 65 or a discussion assignment in my public policy class. Sorry, I have to put homework behind a paywall.

The text discusses two main topics: the balance between regulation and economic freedom, and how regulatory policy is influenced by societal narratives, using California's Proposition 65 and electric car mandates in the US as examples.
