Medium's Medical Censorship
No warning, limited appeal, and no mercy.
Medium is a pretty popular platform for writers who want to reach new audiences and earn a few extra bucks in the process. They are also now censoring writers.
I had written quite a few articles on Medium about issues relating to vaccines and mandates (some prior to the coronavirus pandemic). I’m not anti-vaccine, but I have genuine concerns about the safety profiles of the new mRNA and DNA vaccine technologies, particularly for younger people and children.
On Monday, August 3rd, 2021, I published an essay about vaccine mandates along with quite a bit of commentary about ignored and/or suppressed holistic remedies that might help with covid. Quite a few of these remedies actually have research backing up their usage.
I’ll admit, I was a bit pissed off when I wrote it. I had just communicated with a mother who was very worried about her 24-year-old daughter. Within hours of taking a covid vaccine required for school, the daughter had symptoms of a traumatic brain injury (according to one of her doctors). Initially, she was unable to even speak. The membrane around her heart, the pericardium, developed inflammation. The daughter had to move back in with her parents for 24/hour care.
These are the real stories of vaccine injury that Big Tech companies are censoring.
So I wrote an article that was a bit damning and highly critical of the FDA in particular.
About a day later, Medium dropped the hammer. I was booted from the platform.
I had never previously gotten a warning from Medium regarding any of my content, but I also didn’t trust them too much. While they seemed willing enough to publish some controversial pieces, it was clear their editors had certain preferences in the content they would promote or quietly keep under the rug.
Therefore, I wasn’t that surprised when Medium completely shut down my entire account, along with 34 articles (most of which had nothing to do with vaccines or coronavirus).
They sent me one email (screenshot below) with no offer of appeal. You apparently can appeal, but said info is buried on their rules page. I’m not going to bother. I don’t want to help out a company like this with my work. I made residual income of maybe $2 per month from Medium. Not worth it.
Apparently, I broke their covid rules (which I was not aware of…it’s possible they sent an email about it, which I missed). You can guess what the rules say…the usual Orwellian admonitions that are fueling the YouTube and Facebook covid smackdowns.
I’m not the only one who has been shut down on Medium…another censored account, Op-ed Daily, also complained of censorship on their rules page:
Scientists are showing that the COVID-19 vaccines, which produces spike protein in your body, is causing severe trauma to blood vessels. The article I wrote, that you have censored, had to do with the spike protein being the thing that causes COVID-19 to be so deadly, which means having your body produce it will cause the same problems, despite not being part of the virus. It's not misinformation or disinformation. You're censoring sourced information based on peer-reviewed studies. This is insanity and I find it disgusting. But don’t worry — I published it elsewhere on Vocal and you can find it if you Google Op-Ed Daily & Vocal.
(I found the censored article by Od-Ed Daily here, in case you are curious.)
My article didn’t even get into the whole spike protein issue or any sort of bizarre “conspiracy” topics. However, I mentioned “regulatory capture” and called the FDA out for its apparent vendetta against safe, holistic remedies like elderberry and colloidal silver (check out this study) while ignoring the CDC VAERS safety signals for covid vaccines.
So here we are. I never thought I’d live in an America where I’d have to go underground to be critical of a government agency.
I’ve now set up a Substack. They are also hosting some important voices on the coronavirus policy and vaccine front, notably Heather Heying and Alex Berenson. I can only hope Substack will continue their free speech policies, though I’m wary now. They use Stripe as a payment processor. I’ve already emailed Substack asking them: What happens if your payment processor starts to throw a fit over certain content?
Well, for now, I’ll be republishing my censored article here, as well as other articles that would have gone up on Medium. As a holistic health practitioner, I feel it is important to look at issues such as pandemics under a holistic lens. Thanks for reading.
